Acidulated soybean soapstock oil or soybean acid oil is a rich source of soybean fatty acids, and an essential raw material with removed moisture, and hence physically and chemically stable.. It is used in oleochemical and detergent industries and is suitable for distilling fatty acids.
This acid oil is obtained when soapstock is acidulated with dilute sulfuric acid, and then physically separated to provide a relatively moisture free product. We process the soapstock immediately as it is produced so as to minimize fermentation and emulsification.
